Our contract starts at 7:30 Saturday morning
. The public gets in at 9
, so try to plan your setup so it goes smooth for you. The public gets out at 5:00
on Saturday and 1:00 on Sunday.
We can get in at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. There is an end door with a vehicle path for easy unloading.
The fairgrounds does not supply dollies.
If you need WIFI, be prepared to tether your phone. Most cell services add a small fee to your bill to allow tethering. I have a cell modem that can allow up to 5 connections if your need is occasional.
There is an ATM machine available.
There will be a professional security team in the building from 5:00 p.m. Saturday to 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
During the event the doors we loaded in through at the ends of the building will have a big X of caution tape over them on the inside and can not be opened from the outside, so all traffic will be funneled though the front door.
Be vigilante of your own stuff. Consider thin cable from the hardware store with loops crimped in the ends and wrapped around the table to secure the larger items so you can put more focus on the smaller stuff.
Gun Safety and Shooting:
Zip ties will be provided as safety indicators. No shooting or discharging of air will be allowed. There is a gun range just 5 miles away if you need to shoot.
There is no onsite food, but there is a nearby grocery store and numerous fast food options, pizza, and the brewery right across the street.
Saturday Night Party:
We will once again have a party at the Placerville Brewing Company across the street Saturday evening after the show.
Old Town Shopping for the family:
The next exit or two up the highway takes one to the actual town of Placerville. It is a very cool old historic town with a ton of boutique shopping opportunities and historic things to see, consisting primarily of one fairly long main tourist trap street.
